Religious Education
"Education in the faith by the parents should begin in the child's earliest years. This already happens when family members help one another to grow in faith by the witness of a Christian life in keeping with the Gospel. Family catechesis precedes, accompanies, and enriches other forms of instruction in the faith. Parents have the mission of teaching their children to pray and to discover their vocation as children of God. The parish is the Eucharistic community and the heart of the liturgical life of Christian families; it is a privileged place for the catechesis of children and parents.”

The Catholic Church intends for all Catholic children to be in RE each year until they are confirmed! Our mission is to help you as parents/guardians to nurture and foster growth in the Catholic faith of your children. This is accomplished with help from Catechists/volunteers of our Parish who give of their time and talents.
We offer Religious Education for children from 3 years old through the 8th grade. All students are required to have two years of Religious Education prior to any Sacraments.
Religious Education starts in September and goes through May.
Classes are held on Sundays for all grades Pre-K through Confirmation.
Early Registration starts the month of April: To secure early enrollment discount, please return the form and fees by the end of April.
Regular Registration May, June and July: To secure enrollment, please return the form and fees by the end of July.
Late registration fees apply thereafter.

We are always in need of catechists. What is a catechist? The General Directory for Catechesis tells us that “The Church awakens and discerns this divine vocation and confers the mission to catechize. The Lord Jesus invites men and women, in a special way, to follow him, teacher and formation of disciples.” (GDC 231)
Are YOU being called to be a catechist in our parish community? Are YOU being called to serve and minister, to be a witness to Jesus Christ, to pray and to build up our parish community?

Esta educación ocurre cuando los miembros de la familia se ayudan a crecer entre ellos mismos en la fe mediante el testimonio de una vida cristiana de acuerdo con el Evangelio. Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica #2226
La iglesia católica propone que todos los niños católicos estén en clases de catecismo cada año hasta que se confirmen! Nuestra misión es ayudar a los padres/guardianes a nutrir y fomentar el crecimiento en la fe católica de sus hijos. Esto se logra con la ayuda de catequistas y voluntarios de nuestra parroquia que dan de su tiempo y talento.
Ofrecemos catecismo para niños de 3 años de edad hasta el grado 8. Todos los alumnos deben tener dos años de catecismo antes de recibir cualquier sacramento.
El Catecismo inicia en septiembre y termina en mayo. Las clases se imparten los domingos para todas las clases desde pre-k a hasta la confirmación.
Las Inscripciones comienzan en el mes de abril: para garantizar el descuento por inscripción temprana, debe de entregar la forma de inscripción y la cuota a finales de abril.
Las inscripciones Regulares son en mayo, junio y Julio: para garantizar la inscripción, debe de entregar la forma de inscripción y la cuota a finales de julio.
Después de estas fechas se aplicara un cargo extra por inscripción tarde.

Siempre necesitamos catequistas. ¿Qué es un catequista? El directorio General para la catequesis nos dice que "la iglesia despierta y discierne esta vocación divina y confiere la misión de catequizar. El Señor Jesús invita a hombres y mujeres, de una manera especial a seguirle, a enseñar y a formar discípulos." (GDC 231) ¿Está usted llamado a ser catequista en nuestra parroquia? ¿Está Ud. llamado a servir a ser testigo de Jesucristo, a orar y a construir nuestra comunidad parroquial?
